The BEST Lentil Soup

Sunday brunch: smoked salmon on rye with dill and a little cream cheese. Cured the salmon myself this time and it was worth the wait.

Picked up a lamb shoulder from the halal butcher down the street and cooked it low and slow all afternoon. Fell right off the bone.

Sourdough discard pancakes with date syrup. Breakfast for dinner and absolutely no regrets.

Tried the baked eggplant pasta with halal beef mince instead of the usual. Layered it with mozzarella and baked till the edges caught. Saving this one.

Hummus from dried chickpeas instead of a can, soaked overnight. Completely different texture and I am never going back.

Made maqluba for eight people last night and the pot flip finally worked first try. The crispy rice at the bottom is the whole point.
